I had used this program on a Dell laptop when I was in college in 2006. At the time I was using Windows 7/8/8.1. It was loaded on to my canon printer dvd. The program was great while it lasted.

Very old program. They literally had decades to implement transparent file exports, but they could not.

What happened to ArcSoft.
It was wonderful. From one day to the next it stopped working. I downloaded an updated version but now I get messages saying Twain doesn't work. I use it for scanning photos, negatives and slides. I'm lost without it.

What happened to ArcSoft Photo Studio 6????.
I've used ArcSoft PhotoStudio 6 for years and LOVE it. I am trying to install it on my new computer and all I can get is a 15-day trial version. When I follow the prompts to purchase it asks for a registration code. Ultimately the prompts lead to a screen telling me I must have an internet connection to access ArcSoft. I do have an internet connection. PhotoStudio isn't even listed as one of Arcsoft's products. I can't find any explanation anywhere online.
Pros: ArcSoft Photo Studio 6 was a great photo editor
You could zoom right in to individual pixels and change their color to do fun things like change brown eyes blue
You could cut a figure from one photo and put it in another
Cons: I want ArcSoft Photo Studio on my new computer and all I can get is a trial version
There doesn't appear to be a way to purchase it anymore
There is no explanation for this online
ArcSoft has no explanation on its web site

Don't bother - can't upgrade, won't register....
Great program, but the company is useless at any type of support. Either just plain won't respond, or links lead to 404 Errors.
Pros: Easy to use
Does most of what you need
Cons: Can't upgrade to paid
Company support is non-existent

Simply beautiful. I have been using ArcSoft Photo Studio ever since I bought my first digital camera years ago when 1 mp was mind blowing lol. I wouldn't use any other photo editing software. ArcSoft is user friendly, quick, professional, and most of all fun!!:)I save a ton of money on b-days and holidays and I always have the best gift...$3.00 for photo print and a $5.00 frame:)oh and don't forget a little photo magic with ArcSoft that will last forever. Amazing stuff.
Pros: The power, speed, and quality of the edit is amazing!!
You can do anything, and I mean anything to any picture!! It is a blast!:)
Cons: It would be really cool if we had the option to cross or load effects into one of the tools and use new features like oil paint useing the spray can on a pic of a windshild on separate layer then lower contrast throw asome moonlight exposure take down that edited layer to about 71% merge layer and you made a nice sunny day look like a rain storm fom a middle seat picture snaper:)

Free trial not worth downloading.
I downloaded the free trial and I like to put a caption (text) on the picture. I could do it with Photo Studio 5.5 and use any size font I wanted. The free trial version would not let me change the font size so I did NOT purchase the program.
Cons: Unable to change the text font size in the trial version, dont know if you can in the registered version.

Craft essential.
great for cardmaking so easy to use. I often make my own background papers in cardmaking and have found this an essential piece of softwear to crop portions of a picture/topper I am going to use, I save to my pictures then use it with my graphic pack or my cardmaker3 softwear.
Pros: only softwear I have found I can use for my cardmaking needs
Cons: because my hands are a bit shaky I have to draw round with the cropper a few times befor I am happy with the results
